Oh yes, it's today! 24th November, the world premiere of "Tangled"! And the special day when we show wonderful pictures submitted for `aeterne's and ~Nibilondiel's Drawing Rapunzel event.

But! Since some people told us they didn't manage to finish their drawings on time, we decided to give you a whole WEEK MORE before we definitely close the event. This means that you have seven days more to draw, finish or even make your already submitted picture a better piece.
We're still showing your Rapunzels today, don't worry! After next Wednesday (1st of December) we'll update the blog again and post a News Article with all the pictures, so that the event will be officialy closed.

We'd like to thank everyone who took part in this wonderful action! Also, special thanks go to =daekazu who helped us a lot, and contributed a fantastic picture with Rapunzel and other princesses!
So, time to show the awesomeness. Ready? Are *you* aready??

The event is evolving really fast! People are asking questions so it's high time to post some rules/FAQ to make it much easier. Got any more questions? Ask away! And be sure to join our event on Facebook page!

  • Can anyone enter?
Of course! We welcome ANYONE who's willing to draw their own picture of Rapunzel on a swing!

  • When's the deadline?
Since we want to collect all the entries by November 24, it would be best to submit your entry until November 23 - to make sure we'll get it!

  • So... Rapunzel on a swing, got it. But can I add other characters as well?
Yes, you can add as many people as you want, as long as they're Disney characters. And make sure that it's Rapunzel who's on a swing!

  • Can it be any style or only Disney style? And what medium is prefered?
It can be ANY style, even manga or hyper-realism, and ANY media, traditional or digital! But there's one condition: it must be Rapunzel from "Tangled", not any other Rapunzel.

  • Everyone's work will be shown or only the best ones?
This event is NO COMPETITION and we will show ALL the artworks that we'll get. It means that everyone will get the proper exposure!

  • I don't have a Facebook account. Can I still join the event?
Of course! You don't have to be registered anywhere to join. : ) Though it'd be good if you confirmed your participation on the official Facebook event page.

  • How do I send my entry when it's finished?
Just e-mail us at with your picture or link to it. If you're a deviantART user, you can note either Daria or Kate You can also send a link on a Facebook event page... so there are many ways to do so. : )

  • How many times can I enter?
As many was you want! We have no resctrictions regarding number of entries. :3

  • Do you allow photography/cosplay?
Yes we do! As long as there's Rapunzel on a swing, we allow anything! ;D

Let's start!

"Rapunzel" is a German fairy tale in the collection assembled by the Brothers Grimm, and first published in 1812 as part of Children's and Household Tales. The Grimm Brothers' story is an adaptation of the fairy tale Persinette by Charlotte-Rose de Caumont de La Force originally published in 1698. Its plot has been used and parodied in various media and its best known line ("Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair") is an idiom o...f popular culture.

"Tangled" (previously known as Rapunzel) is an upcoming American 3D animated film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and starring the voices of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi. It will be the 50th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series, planned for release on November 24, 2010. The story is largely based on the classic German fairy tale Rapunzel by the Brothers Grimm.

Our idea is to unite all the fans of the Disney animation - we are going to celebrate the premiere of "Tangled"!

It's really simple! You need to DRAW RAPUNZEL ON A SWING. In the park, forrest... There is only one rule: SWINGING!

So, let's draw Rapunzel!

All pictures will be shown on November 24 on the special blog~!
